Instructions to Apply

Application for the 2 - Year Diploma in Elementary Education [D.El.Ed.] involves the following 3 steps

1. Filling of Online Application Form
2. Upload of Passport Size Photograph & signature
3. Payment of Application Fees

Please read the following instructions carefully before you register.

  1. Candidates MUST have a valid email address & mobile number.
  2. Scan a recent color passport size photograph .jpg/.jpeg format only and the size of the image file must not exceed 100 KB
  3. Scan your signature in .jpg/.jpeg format only and the size of the image file must not exceed 100 KB
  4. Fill the Online Application Form.
  5. After submitting the form, you will be re-directed to a page to upload scanned copy of your photograph and signature. If you haven't scan the photograph, you may upload the same later by clicking on the 'Upload Enclosures' link. [Click here for Instructions on Image Uploading]
    After the photograph and signature have been uploaded, you will be automatically re-directed to the Payment Page. YOU MAY ALSO PAY AT A LATER STAGE by clicking on the Pay Application Fee Link
  6. Fee can be paid using Netbanking, Debit/Credit Cards or Cash Payment using eChallan at any branch of SBI
  7. NOTE THAT MERELY FILLING UP THE APPLICATION FORM DOES NOT IMPLY THAT YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY APPLIED FOR THE SAME .
    YOU NEED TO PAY THE APPLICATION FEES AS APPLICABLE.
    APPLICATIONS WITHOUT THE UPLOADED DOCUMENTS AND APPLICATION FESS WILL BE REJECTED AUTOMATICALLY.
  8. ONLY THOSE CANDIDATES WHO FULFILLS THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA CAN APPLY FOR THE SAME.

  9. Applicants can only apply to the DIET located in the district where they are a permanent resident of, failing which their application will be rejected. This will be validated against the Proof of address [Voter ID Card] at the time of counselling. ;

    • Applicants from East Khasi Hills must apply to DIET Sohra
    • Applicants from Eastern West Khasi Hills must apply to DIET Nongstoin
    • Applicants from North Garo Hills must apply to DIET Resubelpara
    • Applicants from Ri Bhoi must apply to DIET Nongpoh
    • Applicants from South Garo Hills must apply to DIET Baghmara
    • Applicants from South West Garo Hills must apply to DIET Tura
    • Applicants from South West Khasi Hills must apply to DIET Nongstoin
    • Applicants from West Garo Hills must apply to DIET Tura
    • Applicants from West Jaintia Hills must apply to DIET Thadlaskein
